1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the most lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its extremely nimble handling and foldable design that can be tucked away in the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. The latest version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels, made of Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate all types of surface and terrain'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame with a curved fabric bassinet as well as a 6+ month color pack combine to make a stylish and elegant pushchair that's easy to look at, with a subtle but elegant design and a tasteful branding. The frame's weight alone is just over a kilogram and is so light that you can easily lift it from the box (and do it with one hand).

The hood, for example is able to snap onto the YOYO2 in a calm manner. It is machine washable at 30 degrees which helps prevent staining caused by smushed and mashed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It can also be transformed to a stroller by 6 months with the YOYO connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents looking for a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. The Evenflo Xplore can be transformed from a stroller to the wagon by turning the handle. Parents can then select the best mode for their adventure. The wagon can be used by two or more children from 6 months to 5 years, and it comes with a large storage basket for everything you need on the go.

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that move from the front to the back, offering ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than other wagons. This might not be ideal for long drives or naps.

The frame on the Xplore is solid and sturdy, although it does not have the same flex as some of the other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the other models, and it does not secure when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are looking for a second stroller that's affordable. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and size folded, which means it's very light, compact when folded and easy to put into a trunk of a car or closet. It also features a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as a cup holder for the parent. Other important features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels and two large hanging storage bags.

In our test of the push and turn it performed better than most of the other strollers that we tested, but it's still not the most maneuverable on uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has were among the smallest strollers we tested. They only cover the top, and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger sunshades.

It took us under three minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. All of the components required tools. But, it's lacking certain essential features we believe you should not compromise on in a double stroller, such as an extra-large basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

Baby Jogger is a household name for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler jogging pushchairs, but they also make a good range of 4-wheeler strollers. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is simple to fold and fits easily into the car's boot even with an attached carrycot.

It's heavier than other strollers we've tested, but because it has rubber composite wheels it feels solid and well-constructed. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all kinds of terrain, and it's easy to carry even with two children and shopping bags.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that are able to be lower to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are sturdy and waterproof, in contrast to other prams hoods which can be blown back into toddlers' faces.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't the best as it’s not as quiet as Velcro and could awaken napping babies.

The Duet is a angled stroller that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and works with some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can face each other or can turn around and face their parents, potentially decreasing sibling rivalries over who should sit with mom and dad.
